As I reflect on the past six years, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the journey Visionary Initiatives, LLC has taken. What began as a simple idea to help working moms align their careers with their true purpose has blossomed into a thriving community of empowered women and organizations dedicated to creating inclusive, purpose-driven workplaces.
The Birth of Visionary Initiatives
When I founded Visionary Initiatives, LLC in 2018, my vision was clear: to create a career and workforce development organization that would not only help working moms achieve their career dreams but also equip organizations to better support and retain this vital segment of the workforce. As a working mom myself, I understood the unique challenges faced—balancing motherhood, marriage, career, and personal calling can often feel overwhelming. But I also knew that with the right support, guidance, and faith, working moms could not just survive but thrive in all these areas.
Building a Legacy of Empowerment
Over the years, Visionary Initiatives has grown into much more than I initially envisioned. Our signature Empowered Working Mom Coaching Program (previously Enhance the Vision) has been a beacon of hope for countless women struggling to find balance and fulfillment in their roles as mothers, wives, and professionals. This program has not only provided practical tools for organizing and prioritizing life’s demands but also rekindled the faith and passion that so many working moms had lost.
I’m also incredibly proud of The Visionary newsletter, which has served as a resource for both working moms and organizational leaders. Through this publication, we’ve been able to share insights, tips, and strategies to help women advance in their careers while fostering inclusive workplaces that celebrate and support them. And of course, the Empowering the Working Mom Podcast has been another avenue through which we’ve been able to connect with and inspire women across the globe. Additionally, Real Talk: The Realities of Work & Life Balance Virtual Summit, Fall Vision Retreat, and Empowering the Working Mom Breakfast have proven to be signature annual events for working moms to network, be empowered, and gain the direction needed to not only have, but align, their work-life balance and career vision with God.
The Power of Partnerships
Visionary Initiatives wouldn’t be where it is today without the amazing collaborations and partnerships we’ve formed. Our work with organizations, like Two Queens Media, Flourishing, LLC, International Association of Women, LSE| She Can Inspire, and others has allowed us to advocate for greater inclusion and representation of working mothers while providing resources for career development and advancement. These partnerships have been instrumental in driving creating environments where women can thrive both personally and professionally.
A Foundation of Faith
One of the guiding principles behind Visionary Initiatives is the belief that true career success is rooted in faith. This has been a constant theme in everything we do. Whether through coaching, newsletters, or podcast episodes, I’ve always emphasized the importance of aligning our career vision with our faith in God. This belief is at the heart of our new resource, The Fall Guide to Reignite Your Career Vision with Faith, which serves as a tool to help working moms reconnect with their purpose and rediscover their career passions through a faith-centered approach.
Looking Forward: The Future of Visionary Initiatives
As we celebrate our 6th anniversary, I am more excited than ever about the future of Visionary Initiatives. Our mission remains the same, but our reach is expanding. In the coming years, we’ll continue to enhance our coaching programs, create new resources, and strengthen our partnerships to ensure that working moms everywhere have the support they need to excel in their careers and personal lives.
I am incredibly thankful for the community of women, clients, partners, and supporters who have walked alongside us over these past six years. Your faith in Visionary Initiatives has allowed us to grow and impact the lives of so many. Here’s to the next chapter—a chapter filled with continued growth, empowerment, and faith-driven success for working moms everywhere.
